Jean M. Prasczewicz of Hoffman Estates for 40 years

Jean M. Prasczewicz, 72, passed away Monday May 20th, 2013 peacefully at her home. Jean was born on August 6, 1940 in Chicago and grew up on the near northwest side. She graduated from Kelvyn Park High School. Jean worked at the local school districts for over 20 years as a student supervisor. Jean was a very creative person and loved spending her spare time making crafts. Many of her creations are quietly resting in homes across the state, as she loved gifting these to family and friends. After retiring, she became an avid gardener and birdwatcher and spent most of her time enjoying both. Jean had a charismatic, upbeat, and outgoing personality. She touched many lives and made friends wherever she went, from the mall, to the garden nursery, to her frequent hospital stays.

She will be missed by all! Surviving are her husband Leonard Prasczewicz of Hoffman Estates, 4 children; Greg (Sandy), Mark (Janice), David (Crissy) and Lenny, 9 grandchildren; Sydney, Andrew, Brendon, Shannon, Lauren, Connor, Kyra, Logan and Matthew, nephew Shawn (Michelle) and niece Kim (Brock). Jean had 3 siblings who preceded her in death, Jimmy, Muriel and twin sister Judy.
