With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Tonita (Toni) Faye Paul, aged 85, of Naples, Florida, on November 23, 2025. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Toni's warmth and kindness touched all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt.
Born in St. Charles, Illinois, on December 5, 1939, to Marvin and Francis Yeomans, Toni graduated from St. Charles High School in 1957. She dedicated her life to her family and found joy in volunteering, reading, golfing, and nurturing her garden - a testament to her remarkable green thumb.
From her earliest days as a Candy Striper volunteer to her active role in Elgin's Women's Club, and as co-founder of the Tuesday Toppers women's golf league at Randall Oaks Golf Club in Dundee, Illinois, Toni radiated happiness through helping others and fostering community spirit. Her professional journey included over 20 years purchasing and decorating the Golf Shop at Randall Oaks, and more than a decade at Chuck Hines in Elgin, Illinois, where her love of fashion flourished and helped support her daughter's education. For seven years, Toni brought smiles to students as a computer assistant at Hoffman Estates High School. Generosity was Toni's hallmark. No holiday, birthday, or special occasion passed without her thoughtful card, gift, or phone call, each a reflection of her caring heart. Toni is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, John E. Paul, of Naples, Florida; her son John (Jay) Paul of Gurnee, Illinois; her daughter Karin Martin (Richard) of Naples, Florida; cherished grandchildren Tyler (Abby) and Riley Martin, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, and brother Douglas Yeomans. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Avow Hospice House (https://avowcares.org) in Naples, whose exceptional care brought comfort to John and Karin during Toni's final days.
A celebration of life and private Catholic service will be held in Naples, Florida, at a later date.
In honor of Toni Paul's enduring passion for helping others, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital (https://www.stjude.org). |
