Linda Ann Mayer, age 68, of Willow Lake Estates, Elgin passed away on Sunday morning, August 28, 2016 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village surrounded by her family. Linda was born in Chicago on November 15, 1947, the daughter of the late Walter & Cordula (nee Milach) Potaczek. On March 17, 1973 she married Garland Mayer. Garland preceded Linda in death on June 4, 2007 after 34 years of marriage. Linda was a former 26 year employee of School District # 211 where she worked as Office Supervisor at Hoffman Estates High School. She was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Dundee and a member of both the Senior Bible Class and Dorcas Society. Survivors include her daughter: Jeannie (Vito) Senese, her grandson: Michael Senese, and her sister: Gloria (Gerald) Fletter. Her nephew: Steve (Staci) Fletter, her nieces: Carol (Tony) Lundell and Brenda (Patrick) Hanson, and her grandnieces and nephews: Aprille, Taylor, Allie, Levi, Julia and Kylie. Other survivors include her step-children: Debbie (Daryl) Schmitt, Gary (Regina) Mayer, Georgia Cater, Connie Lundgren, and Mike Mayer. Her 10 step-grandchildren, and her 9 Step great grandchildren as well as many good and faithful friends. Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church 310 E. Main St. in East Dundee with Rev. Phillip Baerwolf officiating. Burial will follow in the River Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in West Dundee. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-8 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and again on Saturday morning at church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Music Ministry. The Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee is assisting the family with all arrangements.
