ROLLING MEADOWS - Judith Joan Kating (nee Krubl), 82, passed away Sunday April 4, 2021. She was born November 16, 1938 in Oak Park, to the late Margaret (nee Mosetich) and Edward Krubl.

Judy taught at New Trier High School for three years, retired, and then resumed a career in education at Hoffman Estates High School. She was a teacher assistant and helped produce the spring musicals at Hoffman Estates High School. Judy served as a volunteer her whole life. Her service included president of the Women's Association at Southminster Presbyterian Church, president of the Plum Grove Junior High School PTA, president of her PEO chapter, president of the Christopher House Auxiliary and several jobs with the Fremd High School Booster Club.

Judith was the wife of John Kating; mother of Jim (Mary) Kating and the late Kathleen (Jeff) Olson; grandmother of JT, Jonathon, Mark, Hannah, John, and Laura; and sister of Tom (Angie) Krubl. Funeral service private. Visitation Saturday, April 10, 2021 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road (½ block east of Route 53), Rolling Meadows. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
