Warren Paul Derrick passed away at Mike Conley Hospice on August 14th at the age of 75.
Warren is survived by, Dorothy, his loving wife of 43 years. They were married in Wheaton on June 26th, 1970.
Warren is survived by his brothers Elbert and David Derrick and his sisters Nila Rae Phelps and Phyllis Hurlburt. Warren is also lovingly remembered by son Jeff Derrick and his wife Nora and their children Rachel Maw and Katie and James Derrick, daughter Gwendolyn Pertell, her husband Michael and their son, Joseph and daughter Carolyn Hand, her husband Sean and their children Jeremy and Madison.
Warren was born in Oak Park, IL in March of 1938. He graduated from Wheaton High School, Wheaton, IL and went on to Wheaton College. He volunteered for the Army in 1961, just shy of graduation and served in France. Upon his return, he completed his degree at Wheaton College, his Masters from Northern Illinois University.and doctorate level courses at Northern Colorado University. He spent the largest part of his career as a Biology teacher at Schaumburg High School in Schaumburg, IL.
Warren enjoyed travelling with his family, smoking cigars, and researching his genealogy.

Funeral Service
The funeral service will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 13600 Caspian Ln, Clermont, FL on Friday, August 16th at 11am with Pastor Nancy Vogel officiating. A brief reception will be held at the church after the service with the Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1901 Country Road 25-A, Leesburg, FL at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Biblical Archaeology Society, Donations, 4710 41st Street NW, Washington DC, 20016.
